When Things Come to an End
Leaving My Gallery, Changing My Studio, Reimagining Myself
I have been unable to pick up the threads of this newsletter since my departure from my gallery home of seven years. Things change. I have too.
Not only have I left the gallery, I have brought my studio home (new home = more space). I like this change.
I have begun a new painting project, in a brand new direction. And I’m not in a hurry.
I have also renewed my interest in reading the classics (hello university passion), and have begun another newsletter Book Companions to explore this interest conversationally. Please have a look.
Questions I have: can these two interests (reading and painting) be linked? And where/how will I show work when I finish a series of paintings? Also, can the art salon be meaningfully revived? How can these things be done without stress and strain?
This sounds to me like five topics to explore in upcoming newsletters. I hope that you’ll come along for the discussion. Perhaps you too are an artist wondering these things.
And thank you to my readers who have stuck with me through this time of change.
